Legion of Christ

WHO WE ARE

The Legion of Christ is a religious congregation of pontifical right, founded in 1941. Its mission is to extend the Kingdom of Christ in society according to the requirements of Christian justice and charity.

WHAT WE DO

Our fundamental mission in the Church is to bring all people to know, love, and share Christ with others with apostolates and institutions in the fields of education, service to the poor and evangelization.

OUR PRESENCE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD

The Legion of Christ was born in January of 1941 in Mexico. In 1946, the first Legionaries arrived in Spain and in 1950 they established a formation center in Rome. Today the Legion of Christ is present in numerous countries all across the globe.

REGNUM CHRISTI

Regnum Christi is an apostolic movement which shares the charism of the Legionaries of Christ. It includes lay men and women, as well as deacons and priests.
