| The novitiate in Cheshire, Connecticut. | |
|
A Legionary spends his first two years at one of
several novitiate centers around the world. There, the solid foundation
of Legionary life is laid down in preparation to make
the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.
The motto: "Christus
Vita Vestra" - "Christ Your Life".
The novices´ interior life is
based on a personal knowledge and love of Christ, gained
through an hour of daily prayer before Mass, an hour
of Eucharistic adoration each day, and individual spiritual direction. Their
life is beautiful in its simplicity, a reliving of Christ´s
quiet preparation in Nazareth for his public ministry.
The novitiate
in the United States is located in Cheshire, Connecticut. In
addition to the 55 or so novices there, 94 brothers
are studying one or two additional years of humanities. Find
